Posted October 27th, 2008

Voters in the city of Kearney and in neighboring Kearney County will make an important choice on Nov. 4. In the election, voters will elect who will represent District 37 in the Nebraska Legislature. Candidates running for the legislative post are Kearney banker Jim George and retired university administrator Galen Hadley. See interviews with George and Hadley as they discuss important District 37 issues, such as jobs and economic development, agriculture, education and health care.

thanks for the info…I have not been able to attend the two forums with these candidates and am glad you have done this as well as glad KGFW TOT will feature them Tuesday. Both of these men are very qualified for the position.

Thanks Kearney Hub for the 2008 elections candidates background information, I am new in Kearney and do not know the candidates. This was one stop gathering information allowing me to make an informed choice. I really enjoy your paper.

I think Mr. Hadley is concerned only with the network of people at Good Samaritan instead of what the citizens of Kearney want. We need someone that thinks of the people instead of his buddies.

It saddens me to see Mr. Hadley do something that wasn’t in the best interest of the community and using his power to support his friends.
