KEARNEY — With their inside game taken away, the Ravenna girls basketball team had two choices — shoot 3s or hold the ball. On possibly the biggest possession of the game, the Bluejays did both.
Ravenna ran 2 minutes, 3 seconds off the clock to start the fourth quarter before Jesica Markvicka drilled a 3 from the corner to boost the Bluejay lead to 48-38. From there, Ravenna never let Shelton get closer than seven points en route to a 58-45 win in the Class C2-10 Subdistrict Tournament championship Thursday at Cope Coliseum.
