Hostage suspect charged with seven felonies

KEARNEY – Jon Buckley was charged this morning in Buffalo County Court with seven felonies in connection to Wednesday’s hostage situation at Kearney’s Wells Fargo Bank.

Buckley, 22, of Minden is charged with five counts of kidnapping with the intent to terrorize, one count of felony robbery and one count of using a firearm, a loaded sawed-off shotgun, to commit a felony. Buckley is accused of walking into the bank at 10:57 a.m. with the gun and asking for media attention after being fired Feb. 3 from his job at NTV television station.
