KEARNEY — Two men who embarked on a dugout canoe trip to St. Louis Wednesday are having trouble getting out of the central Platte Valley.
Craig Driver of Minden, with a vault of 15′ 6″, takes first place in Class B boys pole vault today (Saturday) at Omaha Burke Stadium for the State Track and Field Championships.

This week it’s all about the wrestling. The State Tournament begins Thursday and runs through Saturday at the Qwest Center in Omaha. The Hub Territory qualified 110, 31 of whom were district champions, and 5 who remain undefeated.
