Clayton and Caden Fritson are learning more than how to bake wholesome bread in their grandma, Judy Turner’s, kitchen south of Holdrege. The two brothers are also learning about responsibility, marketing and teamwork as they spend every Wednesday afternoon in Judy’s large kitchen turning out more than 50 loaves of bread. Watch Video »

The staff at Cottonwood Veterinary Clinic’s physical therapy pool in Kearney nurses injured dogs back to health. Swimming helped Ricki Bobby learn to use its back legs again after he was found on the street with a broken pelvis. Watch Video »

On Sunday the Kearney Community Theatre was the site of the local Goodwill’s annual fundraiser, Chocolate Sunday, which featured desserts, a fashion show and a live auction. The event is unique to Kearney’s Goodwill organization and raised funds for Goodwill’s services to employ people with disabilities. Watch Video »

Nebraska Kayak Polo scrimmages mix soccer, basketball and rugby for flat water fitness and fun. Weekly games at Zorinsky Lake in Omaha attract about 40 participants, nearly half of whom are rookies plunging into their first scrimmage. For many it’s their first time in a kayak.
