The 14th Annual Kearney Community Olympics kicked off Friday, June 26 and concluded Sunday, June 28. Community members competed in various games ranging from the traditional sporting events to everyday backyard activities. On June 17, 2008 Kelcey Fike was brutally murdered in her home at No. 58 R-Villa South Trailer Court in Kearney. Kearney Police have pursued leads, processed evidence and conducted countless interviews in the case. But in the last year, police have turned up no murder weapon, suspects or witnesses leading them to a viable conclusions.
